Fall Home Show Attendees

Yes, it’s been a very cold, very snowy winter this year.  And the weather reporters are not likely to give warmer reports for some time to come. But at DeckTec, spring is just around the corner. How do we know this?  The Colorado Home and Garden Show starts this week and kicks off the building season for DeckTec’s community.  Are you ready? Will you come to the show?

The Colorado Home and Garden Show runs today through February 23 and will help inspire your home improvement and garden plans for this spring.  With over 1,400 booths and an acre of gardens, there’s something for everyone.  Here’s what we mean:

First, representatives from the DeckTec community will have booths to visit.

Be sure to check out great fireplaces and fire pits from Colorado Comfort and our friend, Dave Hall.  They have booth #314 and will be happy to help answer your questions on the best in outdoor fireplaces.

Then stroll over to booth #716 where you’ll talk with Peter Stuart of the California Redwood Company.  He’ll be ready for all of your questions about redwood and the benefits of this traditional beauty for your deck and outdoor needs, as well as handing out pens, key chains and catalogs of CalRedCo’s work.  As Peter said, “We’re looking forward to reaching out to the people of Colorado and spreading the Redwood word.”

And if you’re looking for something new, be sure to check out the booth for Coyote Rollers (#1462).  Owner Trish Whitley is excited to be a first time participant in the show, and has a passionate message for protecting your pets and children from a growing concern in Colorado—the wild coyote.

“Our primary goal,” said Trish, “is to save the lives of all pets and to reach a humane solution for this problem.”  She will be prepared to tell you how rollers placed at the top of your fence will discourage coyotes from entering.  Her knowledge of both dogs and wildlife is something you won’t want to miss, and although she will be offering show discount specials on her product, you’ll need to be prepared to purchase this innovative new product online.

And for those of you with a more vivid interest inside the home, be sure to check out the Vitamix booth, #642.  Each year they come in from Ohio with their made-in-the-USA high-speed mixer and whip up entertaining presentations as well as some great tasting snacks.

Lastly, we certainly hope you’ll stop by booth 117. Our DeckTec team will be there to answer your questions about deck building, roof covers, deck maintenance and more.  And of course we love connecting with you to see how you’re doing.  Bring a photo of your deck and you may win a free booklet of ideas from your friends at DeckTec.

With these and hundreds of more vendors, sights, sounds, and tastes, the Colorado Home and Garden show is well worth a visit at $12 per adult.  If you need help with purchasing tickets or have other show questions, please call us at 303.277.1550. At DeckTec, we’re here to help.
