DeckTec was proud to construct this stunning second-story deck project for a home situated along the scenic Foothills Golf Course in Lakewood, Colorado.
Designed to match the home’s existing siding and color scheme, the deck project includes a large upper-level deck, a paver patio and a staircase with several landings that connects the two spaces. The homeowners chose DeckTec to complete the project after seeing a deck remodeling and refinishing project the company completed for one of their parents in 2022.
Sleek and modern, the expansive deck has multiple areas for dining, relaxing and entertaining. DeckTec used Deckorators Voyage, a durable mineral-based composite, for the decking, with the homeowners opting for a Sedona-colored body and a Dark Slate border and accents. Hardy, contemporary Fortress Fe26 horizontal railings surround the deck and line the staircase, enhancing safety and aesthetics, and DeckTec also included a Hideaway Screens custom privacy screen on the side facing the next-door neighbor’s home to create more of a sense of seclusion.
A Patio Design Blending Beauty & Durability
Low-voltage light fixtures installed along the stairs illuminate travel from the deck to the paver patio below. The patio, itself, features Keystone Holland Stone pavestones in a Winter Blend color scheme and an intricate basket weave pattern that adds texture and visual interest to the space. It also has a combination of covered and uncovered portions, allowing the family to use the space comfortably, regardless of weather or season.
