Q: What got you into decking or Outdoor Living?
A: I went to Purdue to become an architect and really connected with wanting to help people enjoy the outdoors from their homes through functional and interesting design.
Q: What is your favorite part of working at Decktec?
A: I’m very excited about DeckTec’s commitment to bring its design, function, and appeal to synthetic decking. I also appreciate the close-knit, professional team environment that works together for the ultimate customer experience.
Q: DeckTec welcomes you as their very first composite specialist. So how has composite changed over generations, and why does it present such a great opportunity for DeckTec clients?
A: The technology behind composite gets better every year. Composite decking had tons of fading, staining, and warping issues early on. Over the years, some brands have really put their money into developing a product that reduces those issues. These certain brands are confident enough to warranty at 25-50 yrs against those issues. This presents a great opportunity for our customers because Decktec is now confident enough in a few brands to offer them while maintaining the quality of our design and craftsmanship. Everyone deserves a Decktec deck and now our customers can have that DeckTec deck no matter what decking surface is that they prefer to have installed.
