Where were you born?
I was born in Alhambra, CA on May 7, 1962. I moved to live with my dad’s family in Kansas City, MO in the summer of 1969. I moved from Kansas City to Fraser-Winter Park, CO in August 1975, and have lived in Lakewood, Denver and mostly Aurora since 1979.
What do you like to do on your days off?
Play guitar, sing and write original songs. Evenings and weekends I love to hike in the summer and X-country ski in the winter.
What is a past trend that needs to come back? Needs to go away?
We need to be more social like we used to be, the isolation of modern life is not an improvement over the old days. Let’s give our cell phones a rest and visit our neighbors in person. I remember when home phones had party lines, LoL!
What is your favorite part of working at DeckTec?
Favorite part of working at DeckTec is the great clients, and great co-workers. I love and look forward to both Mondays and Fridays
If you have out of town guests, where do you take them for dinner?
I would take my guests to the Brewery Bar for chili rellenos and the best green chili in town!
What is a memorable experience you had on a project or with a client that you are particularly fond of?
We sanded and renewed a redwood deck 2023 that was very old and grey and it now looks almost “brand new”, the clients were so very happy.
What is your favorite thing to pack for lunch?
I love a Jersey Mike’s roast beef sub for lunch, the second half is even better the next day!
