Accounting-Payroll-HR Cross Functional Postion

Job Overview
Hybrid cross-functional position to support small business needs of Accounting, Finance, Payroll, Human Resource Management. Flexible and supportive role with the changing needs of the business. Great opportunity to grow skill set and career with the cross-function of these areas of discipline.
Accounting & Finance (strong understanding of principals and concepts, i.e., GAAP, GAAS, etc.)
– Prepare payroll-related journal entries for the general ledger.
– Reconcile payroll accounts and benefit invoices.
– Assist with audits (internal, external, and government agency).
– Support budgeting and financial reporting related to workforce costs.
– Process accounts payable invoices as needed.
– Analytical-Audit
Payroll Processing:
– Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time.
– Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments, etc.).
– Manage timekeeping systems and verify timesheet accuracy.
– Issue paychecks or process direct deposits.
– Handle employee inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies.
– Payroll Tax verification-submission- Federal, State, Jurisdiction
Human Resources:
– Administer employee benefits (health insurance, 401(k), leave policies, etc.).
– Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
– Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HRIS data.
– Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ACA, EEO).
– Assist with recruitment tasks, such as posting jobs and conducting initial screenings.

Software:
· Strong technical understanding through reports, analysis, data types, i.e., MS Platform, to include Excel, Word, Outlook, QBO Reporting Tools, Exporting, etc.

– Accounts Payable
– Accounts Receivable
– Add-ons – integration
o Zoho CRM

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Typically an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in a payroll and/or HR environment, often 3-5 years, depending on the level of responsibility.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in payroll software and HR Information Systems (HRIS) (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Pay Rate: $28.00-33.50 Hourly-Non-Exempt
Schedule: M-F
