Forever Living with California Redwoods

As a member of the DeckTec community you have, no doubt, heard about our love affair with California redwood. This wood is strong, long-lasting, bug and disease resistant, and one of the finest building products ever discovered. And chances are if you have a DeckTec deck, you have it right under foot. But is redwood's existence going to be there when I need a new deck? We don't tend to talk in terms of the wood's natural state, unless there is something in the news that might affect either the quality or the price of the great wood we use.[...]

What’s the Occasion?

“I can’t believe our little girl is getting married,” Donna said to her husband, Tom. “It seems like just yesterday, she was out here in this yard playing tea party with her friends.” Tom sighed. “Yes, and she wants to have the memory of a lifetime in this very spot. They'll need to be replaced. Loose or corroded fasteners like screws and nails will need to be addressed. Railings and banisters need to be secure - try pushing on yours to make sure of this.[...]

Spring has come to Denver in a blast of colors and excitement. The 52nd annual Colorado Home and Garden Show held from February 12 through February 20 was a great opportunity to see old friends and meet new ones, as approximately 55,000 people made their way through the 400,000 square feet of gardens, consumer displays and presentations for improving our lifestyles in and around the Denver metropolitan area. DeckTec was pleased to be a part of this great community outreach as we teamed up with the California Redwood Company to offer information and prizes to the hundreds of people who[...]
